Raised in East Palo Alto, Lori Patton started her journey with YCS in 2006 when she joined the mentoring team for Freshman Leadership Corps. At 15 years old she and eight of her high school classmates built the foundation for FLC and her love for serving young people. After graduating high school she continue her work with YCS during college. In 2010, she moved to Georgia where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus in adolescence from Georgia State University. During those summers in Georgia she traveled to California to be a team leader with the Summer of Service program. After moving back to California in 2015 she reconnected with YCS and became a facilitator for East Palo Alto afterschool programs. Now she has began a new chapter with leading the 2016-17 Action Team.
