Summary and Position Responsibilities:
The Interim YCS Palo Alto Youth Program Coordinator will advise and mentor high school students in our service clubs. The Coordinator must also build and maintain positive relationships with other YCS employees, school contacts and community partners. Specific job duties include:
•High School Clubs – The Coordinator will provide each club’s student leaders with mentorship and support while the students lead their peers in service projects. The Coordinator also will maintain clear communication with the teacher sponsors and provides resources as needed. In addition, the Coordinator also will work with student leaders and key school staff to plan and implement School Service Days.
•School Service Days: The Coordinator is responsible for managing the two high school service days and supporting the three middle school days of service. Each event is specific to the school, but generally follow the same format. Hundreds of students participate in these school-wide events.
•YCS Service Shout Support: — Support YCS staff in producing and distributing a monthly newsletter of service opportunities for local youth.

15.Working knowledge of Macintosh, Microsoft Word, and Excel required.

Other Qualifications:
•Valid CA drivers license and reliable transportation for fieldwork
•Able to work occasional evenings and weekends
•Submit a copy of their DMV record and drivers license and automobile insurance
•Clearance results from a TB test and place fingerprints on record
•Current certifications in First Aid and CPR or be willing obtain within 30 days of hire
