Want to make a difference? YCS has many ways for youth to get involved in the community.
Join a YCS Program at your school
During the academic year, YCS provides classes, clubs, and leadership programs that enable students to identify community needs and plan service projects. Examples of service projects students can participate in include volunteering at shelters, restoring local parks, visiting seniors, and organizing canned food drives. Students also often plan community service projects for other students at their school. See if there’s a YCS club at your school!
Attend a YCS Summer Camp
Each summer, Youth Community Service offers two-week Summer of Service Camps for middle school youth, and a Freshman Leadership Camp for entering ninth graders. Campers develop leadership skills, have fun and meet new friends while helping out in the community.
Attend a YCS Event
YCS holds several events each year that are open to the entire community. YCS often partners with community non-profits to provide service events for students or service days for the entire family. Students can participate in these events, as well as volunteer to help run the events. Check out our upcoming events!
