Want to make a difference? YCS has many ways for adults to be involved with our programs.
Volunteer with YCS
Adults interested in supporting YCS by volunteering their time can fill out our Adult Volunteer Sign Up Form. Thanks for your time and interest in helping YCS support area youth!
Support a YCS Program at your Student’s School
During the academic year, YCS provides classes, clubs, and leadership programs that enable students to identify community needs and plan service projects. Students also often plan community service projects or service days for other students at their school. Parents can help out at schools in many ways, including chaperoning service projects, helping provide service opportunities, or helping fund service projects or our programs. Learn more about our programs.
PAUSD YCS Lunch Clubs
If your student is in a Palo Alto Unified School District school, you can sign her or him up for a YCS Lunch Club. If you’d like to volunteer with your student’s YCS club, please contact Kathryn Lamis.
Attend a YCS Event or our Annual Spring Luncheon
YCS holds several events each year that are open to the entire community. YCS often partners with community non-profits to provide service events for students or service days for the entire family. Adults and families can participate in these events, as well as volunteer to help run the events. Additionally, YCS holds an annual luncheon with a featured speaker on a social-emotional learning topic. Look for news of this year’s event on our Events page.
Subscribe to our Service Shout-Out
The Service Shout-Out is a monthly eNewsletter used to inform youth of the multiple volunteer opportunities available around the Palo Alto area. All of our events that are open to the public and families are listed in the Service Shout-Out as well.
