YCS has many ways for alumni to stay involved
with our programs.
Stay in Touch!
Please don’t go. We enjoyed having you with us. There are multiple ways to stay in touch so you can continue to benefit from your YCS participation as a student. Join our Youth Community Service Alumni Facebook group!
Volunteer with YCS
Alumni interested in supporting YCS by volunteering their time can fill out our Adult Volunteer Sign Up Form. Thanks for your time and interest in helping YCS support area youth!
Attend a YCS Event or our Annual Spring Luncheon
YCS holds several events each year that are open to the entire community. YCS often partners with community non-profits to provide service events for students or service days for the entire family. Adults and families can participate in these events, as well as volunteer to help run the events. Additionally, YCS holds an annual luncheon with a featured speaker on a social-emotional learning topic. Look for news of this year’s event on our Events page.
Support our Year25 campaign to raise $125K. Give now! Your tax-deductible gift helps us to keep our doors open and continue to offer service-based learning to students throughout our community.
How did YCS impact you? Did it change your career choice? Change your view of the world? Connect you to the community or your neighbors? Make you aware of “real world” issues?
For some, the magic of service transforms lives. . .
“YCS came to Belle Haven in Menlo Park when I was in 5th grade. I am now 21 years old, a new mom, still in college and thankful to have had an experience of a lifetime with YCS and FLC (Freshman Leadership Corps). College became possible for me because I was able to receive the experience I’ve got from your program. It kept me far away from the negativity in my East Palo Alto/Menlo Park community and offered me multiple chances to change my community instead. I’ve received the opportunity through YCS to help those in need whether it was at Glide in SF or the shelter in Menlo Park. I’ve got the chance to paint the world green from going tree to tree in Palo Alto to working close with a professional Canopy group. There are hundreds of benefits I can claim and thank YCS for. Yes, as you can see, I love YCS and what it has done for me.”
